In December 2022 while the Poole family were restoring their iconic 1964 vintage Franklin, Lachlan and Kirianna came to us in need of cushions and a mattress for their family journey around Australia and New Zealand. It was important that we made their cushions both practical and comfortable as ‘The Slow Road’ were about to embark on living out of their Franklin. As seen in the after photo above Warwick Fabric’s “Eastwood Fawn” faux leather fabric with OnGuard protection, it was the perfect textile being both soft to the touch and easy to clean; great for this dining area. Taking these authentic retro red vinyl cushions and upgrading them to a rustic-tan fabric finished with piping, is one of our favourite transformations to date.
